Why are American Jews liberal?

The last guy's point is one we need to stress: Don't be led around by the nose by the popular media AND, for now, we still have the secret ballot. So Jews can vote for the (R) ticket to try to stop the slide into stalinism... without having to expose their vote to their communities.

I think it's a shame that a Jew voting Republican in the US has to walk around as if he's drinking from a whiskey bottle in a brown paper bag.
