RABBINICAL SEMINARY OF AMERICA -- 14th Annual Niman & Mosak Families Yarchei Kallah

Baruch Hashem the Yarchei Kallah was a tremendous success. More than twenty-five alumni were moser nefesh to place their personal lives on hold and participate in this year's program. They came from across the United States and Canada, and have left inspired and uplifted. For four days they had the opportunity to be immersed in the Yam HaTorah, engrossed in iyun and fighting themilchamto shel Torah. The hanhalas hayeshiva expressed on numerous occasions the extent of chizuk they received from seeing the talmidim return.
Rabbi Weiner opened the program with divrei chizuk. Following breakfast and chavrusah arrangements, they were off to the Beis Hamedrash for a day of learning.
Tuesday afternoon Rav Harris gave a shiur on Sheves b'biheima, which was subsequently followed by 2 sessions Wednesday andThursday mornings.
For the first time, Rabbi Welcher held a Q&A session dealing with a wide range of halachic issues, including serious shailos pertaining tokiruv and harbatzos hatorah.
At the seudas preida Thursday afternoon Rav Grunblatt gave divrei chizuk. Rabbi Semmel concluded the program with a mussar vaadon the subject of haroeh es hanoled.
On Thursday evening the participants had the opportunity to partake in the kinnos l'zecher nishmas Rabbi Tropper's first yarzheit
We are already looking forward to next year's Yarchei Kallah, which we hope will take place in Yerushalyaim.

The All NEW Alumni Conference
"Harnessing the Power of our Network"

This year we introduced a new event - a 2 night conference, aimed at creating a dialogue amongst our alumni working in similar fields.
As a network, our numbers are exponentially growing on a constant basis. The conference provided a unique opportunity for professionals to connect with other like minded alumni.
There were concurrent tracks for the members of the various fields, with over forty alumni participating each evening. On Tuesday evening the Mechanchim participated in a special workshop given by Rabbi Joshua Levy, "6 Ingredients for a Memorable Lesson". Rabbi Yissachar Weiner followed with a valuable clinic on the all important topic of communication between teachers, parents, and students.
For the marbitzei Torah involved in kiruv, Rabbi Moshe Turk, Director of the Jewish Heritage Center, gave consecutive sessions on the techniques of kiruv,as well as  a discussion of how to deal with delicate issues which may arise.
There are many challenges facing the leaders of our communities and Rabbi Herschel Welcher and Rabbi Avrohom Stulberger sat on a panel advising on this vital issue.

Wednesday evening Rabbi Boruch Lovett, Director of Development at TAG, and Rabbi Dovid Kramer, Executive Director of YOSS, met with the fundraisers and administrators. They discussed basic developmental tools and the importance of organization and professionalism respectively.
Concurrently, Rabbi Dovid Chait addressed the working professionals on the subject of staying connected. Rabbi Welcher subsequently followed with an in-depth analysis of Maaser kesafim. Each group had the opportunity to connect with the Roshei Yeshiva Shlita through a Q&A session.

Preceding each conference was a networking dinner, beautifully catered by Spencer Spielman.
B'ezras Hashem we hope to build off the success of this year's program.
